Hand held, Procapture mode, I was focused on the swallow, I could see the hoverfly, as soon as I saw the Swallow twitch I pressed the shutter, I was please the fly remained in focus!

That's one big meal Jon!

Getting captures like this goes to illustrate how much technology has advance and without 'pro capture', or what ever Nikon & Sony equivalent is forget it, still think Canon is lagging behind, but we will see in the coming weeks. I also think the button on the Sony A9III where you can also kick in the burst rate is a nice feature.

I might suggest going more pillar box with less above and remove the white spec below the hover fly.

Hey Jon ... great job done of ProCapture , you have to have the patience to wait for the moment .
I do like overall shot , including the insect ( which looks more like a wasp than a HF ?! ) ... which is filling empty frame space .
Color and tone looking quite ok , personally I would add a bit more tone to the fence post
Swallow does look nice

Thanks Steve - crop good idea, the spec was a rain drop. The swallow ignored the insect completely, I thought it had taken off to eat it.

Andreas, agreed the post looks bland, it was a lot brighter i toned it down maybe a little contrast to would help. I would not argue the point wasp or hover fly, it was some distance away. It has just occurred to me possibly wasp that is why the Swallow ignored it??
