A quite common bird around Melbourne Australia, but lots of fun to photograph. They are very tiny and never sit still.

Beautiful image Jan!A bit centred but the perch actually supportds this composition. Beak doesn't look as sharp as usual for your standards.

Light , pose and perch all work together. great eye on this bird. Perhaps just a bit off the left side to move the subject off center.

Such a great looking bird. A very pleasing picture overall, an instant wall hanger.

Good work Jan! Like the angle and size of the perch along with the natural framing from the branches. Exposure looks good and love the background. Overall sharpness appears good to me although there looks like it may be just a touch of motion an the tip of the beak? Maybe not. What was you SS? Either way, doesn't distract me from the image and only really picked it up from close inspection. Thanks for sharing!

I think 1/250 or so. Light was quite low. I think it might comes from processing, though, because my flash did not fire, so I had to push it more than usually.
I can see what you guys mean when I have a close look
