I was thrilled today to see my first Black Oystercatchers. Cannot wait to go back tomorrow (hopefully some good light--but that is iffy here! ;)) and get in a better position. My MKIII is in the shop with a sticky mounting pin--wow--do I miss it! :(

Hi Bonnie Very nice find !!!!

Good low angle and pose I would lighten the image Seems a bit dark Might want to take out your flash for some fill light !! Hope you get them tomorrow !!!

Hi Bonnie,
I like the layers of color in this. I'd be tempted to take a little off the bottom to just below the bright rocks.

I like your composition, and the colors of your bird along with the soft tones of your background. He does seem just a wee bit soft to me. Agree with cropping just a tad on the bottom and maybe, fore my taste just a little bit on the top...:)
Congrats on your capture, I LIKE IT...:D

Great picture, perfect exposure and great colors. IMO the the two bright rocks on the foreground are a little distracting, I will tone then down.
