Piping plover and shell at sunset

I had probably the nicest light that I have ever experienced for this image. There was a dark gray cloud sitting just above the horizon and one higher in the sky. 20 minutes before sunset, the sun shone in between the two and created the warmest, richest, most concentrated light that I have ever seen. Thankfully, I had a subject and when he posed beside the little shell, I was a happy girl. I hope you enjoy this image as much as I enjoyed creating it. I'll probably trim a bit from the bottom and then from the left before finalizing this one....what do you think?

Grace, I love this. I really like how the plover stands out in beautiful light. I also love the sweet blue puddles of water and the shell adding to the comp. Nice image

Grace - I could tell from the thumbnail that it was gorgeous light. Your description makes it even better. Beautiful image. The shell and little puddles just take it over the top. Not sure I would change a thing.
