Thans for looking.

The red tailed really pops here, good shot, very sharp, good wing position, good light and BG. The only knit picking is the head angle. Well done. Loi

Oh how I would love to get a shot like this!!

I wonder if you've considered darkening the lighter ground so there is less of a transition line going right at the bird's level?

Sharp BIF photo with nice detail, Karl.
I think getting him right at the BG transition works well.

Yes, I am not bothered by the transition line at all. Sharp and good detail. Works for me.

It's not so much the line that bothers me, but that the top part is heavier than the bottom, and that's where most of the bird's "weight" resides.

Just wondering how it would strike people with that light area darkened some, and maybe a darker gradient at the bottom.

Nice capture, Karl. I am with Diane on darkening the FG a bit. It is pulling my eye away and competing with your fabulous flight capture. If you have more canvas above, I think I would crop a little from below and add above.

Thank you all.
I added a little at the top, same amont as I removed from the bottom. (Content Aware)
I darkened the bottom and also lightened the belly a little.
Head angle looks perfect to me as it was hunting and had paid full attention to the possible prey, which is very good.
Unfortunately, she/he missed it whatever it was.

RP looks better, Karl, but I'd be tempted to take a little more off the bottom and add a bit more on top if you have it.
