Another image of this migrating shorebird. The two Dunlins that were foraging together pretty much stayed side-by-side, only rarely one would venture too far out from the other. Here's one brief occasion when one of them was left standing alone.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/400s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF, a few brighter spots toned down via burn and clone tools, darkened pupil, a few specks in the water removed via spot healing brush.

Beautiful image, Daniel. There are a couple of spots close to the tail end that I would smoothen out if it were mine.

I really like the BG colors & the POV here Daniel. Excellent techs as usual. The water droplet on the bill takes this image up a couple of notches. TFS.

Nice low angle, tack sharp and gorgeous BG. Wish those bright spots near the tail were toned down a bit but I like this one a lot.

The detail in the bird looks great and I like the overall colors. I really like the water and ripples just below the bird. I agree about the light spots but not a biggie for me. Well done Daniel.

Beautiful image. It would not have been the same without the water droplet which adds so much character to the photo.

Love that window bringing you into the subject, the colors and that water drop. This is a killer image, Daniel, with those colors and low angle.

Just lovely. Your usual muddy low POV, wonderful colors, water drop. In a perfect world the light oof object intruding into the far left wouldn't have been there, but a beautiful image as is.

A few things jump out at me from this beautiful image. 1.The colors are sweet and unusual regarding dunlin images. 2.That is some nice deep water to capture a Dunlin in, and I like how the belly feathers are pulled into the water further covering up the legs. 3.Your subject isolation here is impossible to improve.....lovely frame sir.

The fall colors are a bit plus for me on this one. Definitely worth a print, IMO.
