Great title and super fun image. I think I might take some off of the top and bottom to make more of a horizontal and it will also bring more attention to your subject and behavior. Below is what I would do and I gave the head a little more sharpening. I tried it in vertical but it didn't have as much of the wow factor in my opinion. On the other hand as I look at my RP, the bird doesn't have as much space to look into as he's looking up. It's all subjective I guess. Fun image no matter what your opinion.

Lovely image
i like the IQ, superb BG and the pose is unique
The perch even though man made looks good, the landscape choice from Marina is more interesting to the eye

Hi Keith, like the unusual pose/posture and the barbed wire makes for an alternative perch. I think there is another option on cropping, might be worth posting the FF version.

Thanks folks, Marina must admit that bit of sharping is an improvement, must say I do shy away from over sharpening but yours does look right, it's interesting to read the points re cropping.
Thanks Keith.:S3:

Hi Keith, unusual poses always catches ones attention, and they normally work well, as this pose does. Comp wise, both work for me, and going back to your OP, I would maybe leave the height, but would come in a little from the right, and much more from the left.
