This is an image of a least tern making a dive. They are amazing to watch but a challenge to photograph as they are small and extremely fast. They are quite numerous at Wakodahatchee at present but only stay for a short time .

Nikon D300
Nikon 300mm F2.8
ISO 1000
1/5000, F8
hand held

All comments are much appreciated. Thanks.

what an awkward pose....that guy is an acrobat!
Looks well exposed to me .....not sure if space is better above or below in this comp

Cool pose and capture. It looks a bit noisy and I'm not sure the bird is in focus, the catchlight looks a bit odd.

Bravo, Judy! I have tried with these babies repeatedly and failed. I know how tough they are.
