Shot taken the other week on local river,these are flighty birds,but managed to stalk this and get quite close.cannon 500mm IS,L,F4,Tripod.EX1.4,FL700MM,1/800S,F5.6,ISO500.Crop,sharpened,lightened a touch.

Lovely little bird, I like the river rock BG, the low POV, and your composition Chris. I would be tempted to clone out the lower of the two catchlights.

One of my favourte birds Chris. Got these on the garden ponds at the moment. Even get the oddone one the bird table !Like the water on the lifted foot ! Nice.

Nice work Chris, not an easy bird to frame well because of the signature tail, but I like the angle you've taken here

That's a cracker Chris. Great colours on the bird, and perfect surroundings for the Wagtail. We have a few up here, but, as said already, they are not easy to get close to. They seem to enjoy the chase :w3 Good work

I like the foot rising out of the water, and you got some very nice subdued light on your subject. The rock in lower left corner is unfortunate IMO, but I do like the BG boulders.

Thanks for looking and comments,Daniel,I thought of cloning the rock out,but the rock sticking out of the water across from the raised foot,balanced the bird,if you know what I mean.thanks again everybody.
