Hi all. This is one from the day out with James. Real excited with the nesting material! Taken with the D300 and Nikon 500 f4, f7.1, 1/3200, iso 640 ec -1.33

Very nice wing position and light. The branch adds to it. I'm wondering if there is a way to get more details in the legs.

Great work Nancy for the reasons Axel mentioned. If you wanted to work on the legs, select them only and do a curves adjustment.

Thanks Axel and Robert! The legs do show somewhat better detail on the bigger file, but they are a bit difficult to get right and I do struggle with them, especially with flight images.

Hi Nancy!
Congratulations on the flight with the nesting material ... that is one huge stick! Good job with the head angle, and having eye contact. Whenever I try working on them legs ... I always struggle with darn halos ... watch for them and you will have much success!

Very nice as presented, Nancy, the face has great detail and colors and the perch is a big bonus.
