Made and put up a couple of boxes is an old tractor shed in which these Little Owls have taken up residence ,so pleased to get a few shots and made a good home for these Owls.

Thanks for taking a look and your comments on my last post .

Keith:

I really like the story telling component of this image, the weathered wood and bricks, the cleat shaped bit of metal, allows me to imagine the setting very clearly.

He is more centered than I usually prefer, but the intense eye contact helps it work.

Cheers

Thanks Chris and Randy,Randy totally agree about the composition think this is the best I could get hoping the old frame would frame the bird a bit if you know what I mean.

This image really works for me Keith. The brick and weathered wood all go to tell the story of the birds habitat. The feather details are lovely and those eyes seem to be staring me down. Very nice.

Forgot to mention Keith that I feel it may improve the image by cropping from the bottom to eliminate the missing piece of brick. To me it seems to concentrate the eye more on the bird.

To my eyes that's it Keith, my eye kept being dragged downwards; but the main thing is that it's got to be OK with you.:S3:

Hi Keith, love the setting on this one. great to see you out and about and not stuck in doors.

I might go a bit tighter as I find the stark black BKG rather dominating, nothing you could have done, but if you had some light coming in to break it up I feel this would have helped. Hope they are doing well, mine are all over the place and doubt they have bred this year! Looking forward to more.
