An early start whilst still bobbing around in the fjords, shot around 6.50am. Still trying to get my eye in and mastering a certain 'technique' in rotating the format whilst tracking!! It looks very sunny, but I was still shooting at ISO6400, however no problem for the MKII.

Thanks to those who viewed or especially commented on the previous image.

Perfect Steve. That is one crackin shot of a White Tailed Eagle, especially at ISO 6400. Lovely details on the bird and I love the flight pose. The BG looks good and I like how the lower wing is just about touching the water with the reflection. The prey adds to the image. Looks like I will have to think about Norway, as well as Isle of Mull next year to photograph these beauties :S3:.

Very well done.

Nice work, Steve. You've separated the wing that intersects with the darker background well. Techs spot on as always. The HA, fish really take the image up the scale. Thank you for sharing.

Another really top BIF shot, Steve. Bonus prey which lifts this quite a lot and I like the spray behind the bird. Detail, tone and colour look superb including the deft handling of those white tail feathers. Good separation from the background as well, although ideally, the bird would have 'cooperated' and flown below the shoreline so there was no intersection with the rocky cliff. A minor point though on what is an excellent image.

Lovely capture Steve. I love the wingspan that HA and of course the sweet light with the catch and splash! ISO 6400 looks great. I like the faint catchlight in the eye. A species I would love to photograph. TFS

wonderful action and lighting, the fish and the spray from just hitting the water, it all came together nicely for you here!

Top image mate. Love the light and wing position. The fish is another level added.
