Hi all,
Down at one of my local haunts the other day and saw these three Stilts in what I think is a cute pose. Not the sharpest photo due to distance and crop, but I do like it.

Three's company... Hhi Paul, I like the frame although the exposure is tough, some whites look too hot and some blacks look blocked. Also, some counter rotation may be worthwhile. TFS

Nice to see three in one frame. The interaction between the two birds on the right is nice. Like the water.

I love how the youngster is tucked under mom's beak, intimate interaction here. unfortunately it is held back but the IQ.

Thanks Arash...I appreciate the feedback. Yes, it's the pose that got me...a bit of a grab shot I must admit!

Problems noted above. Was the bird under the wing a young bird or had they just finished copulating? That pose usually part of the post-copulatory display ...

Hi Artie,
Thank you for the reply. Interesting...my research seems to indicate post copulatory display. Cheers.

You are welcome Paul. I agree 100%. Such displays are the norm with all of the world's stilts and avocets.
