This was an interesting, brief as ever but I caught it :S3:

D850, 500mm F/4E, 1/3200 at F/6.3, ISO 560, crop maybe 6 out of the 46

Wow, Wow...I love this. Great colours and contrast between the two birds, and I don't even mind the twigs. TFS

Awesome, poor little Kestrel. Was the Roller just coming in for a landing or attacking the Kestrel? Great catch showing the eyes of both birds.

Really digging how different these birds look side by side. Great behavior here as well.

The inter-species interaction is fantastic. I'd love to capture either of these beautiful birds, but this frame has the feel of an opportunistic 'grab' shot versus a deliberately composed effort. I hang onto
shots like this for my own collection but generally don't post them. Everyone is different though, and this frame certainly shows something few are ever to see!

This one made me smile, but on reflection I think I get what your saying though still believe that photography is about capturing the moment that's why a prefer the candid
to posed image, the candid is real. For it to be a winner then yes less interfering twigs, more pixels, better background and so on.

Interesting image. I agree with all the points mentioned in the post.

I think if the wing of the right side bird does not intersect the head of the left bird then it would have been stronger not that you can control it. :-)
