Earlier this year I was lucky to get close enough to this beautiful male Common Eider roosting on a cliff.
Nikon D200, AF-S VR 70-200/2.8 and 2x TC @ 400mm. F8, 1/500, ISO 100. Handheld
Thanks for watching

Great light, details and exposure control. Maybe a bit tight in the frame. Keep them coming!

Beautiful bird Daniel! I'd like to see a little more detail in the blacks, and a little more room up top. Otherwise quite nice! Thanks for posting!

Very good exposure and details. I like the tight composition of this bird. Such a beautiful bird.

I like this as posted in terms of composition. It is nicely detailed, too and sharp. I see a sharpening halo in front of the blacks above his bill, but a small complaint.

I agree with Grace's comments. I like how all of the colors work with each other, the eye contact and the sharpness. I also see the halo that Grace pointed out; you can also see it on the black behind its head. There's also a small dust spot above the white feathers near the left side of the frame.

I love these birds and the beautiful rich colors. You did him justice and I don't mind the tight crop at all. Looks great to me.

Hi Daniel,
Welcome!
Loverly light and details. I am fine with the crop but would do some selective sharpening of the feathers in the lrc. Let's see more!
