The mirage seen clearly due to the heat between me and this desert wheatear. THis Area Little rann of Kutch is a huge wetland starts drying up from November and become a desert of dried salt water and so heat touches the desert in very early part of morning showing mirage.

Mital:

Your bird has almost perfect coloration to blend into his environment. He is sharp and well exposed.
Head angle appears ever so slightly away, works OK for me however.

I might consider a version with the middle piece of plant material along the lower border cloned out. It jumps out more than usual because of the monochromatic color palette.

Cheers

Lovely photo and certainly has that feeling of dryness about it. Good points by Randy. I had not noticed the effect of the middle piece of bush and I like the idea of removing it. Dave

Lovely bird caught in a typical pose, love the soft light here!

I love the desert feel and mood and the pose as well. Having the head angled slightly way is a big negative and it the likely cause of the head looking a bit soft.
