Sun was going down on cape verde and the osprey flew across the sun. I didn't crop on purpose, for the minimalistic idea. Love to here comments en critiques. canon 30d, canon 300mm, f4 1/3200

Even with the intent of a minimalist flight portrait, this needs a larger crop IMO, Thijs. I like the placement of the bird relative to the frame, but a larger bird might show that it really is an osprey. Although there are some very small tonal BG variations, I wish there were more for this sunset silhouette.

I tend to like this type of format when bird is closer to the corner and not so much negative space. Wish the sunset was visible - TFS.

I like the colour and the idea (and the bird!).
Maybe crop the so the bird is a little bigger, and a bit more sharpening.
Would have loved to see a small line of something at the bottom, to put things in perspective.

Repost is much better (tree is a nice anchor), maybe tone down the BG a tad - IMO.

I like it much better too. Possibly would even be better if the complete crown of the palm was shown.
I really like the feeling of this picture!
