Ive always enjoyed capturing these fast flying characters, and its interesting to see the varied colours on the different pigeons. This was captured at a local pond in Pretoria. The BG is water.

Just a lovely pigeon. :) If mine I'd remove the right wing tip that is protruding "through" the left wing.

Wow you certainly airtight him in a pretty ideal position, excellent detail.. Just a slight reservation about composition, maybe lower him in the frame a little?

Good sharpness, and I love the plumage's pattern on the wing. Exposure looks good to me. Can be tough to avoid those jaggies on those diagonal primary plume shafts. I'm with Jonathan...perhaps just a bit lower in the frame would work.

Gorgeous image of a common bird, Stuart. I might pull the pigeon down a smigeon in the frame but I love it as is. Reminds me not to overlook birds I see more often than others.

Sharp with killer wing and head positions. Not to mention great practice!

Terrific image, Stu. I just love the gorgeous bg, the sharp details, head turn and especially the wing position.
+1 to moving him just a bit lower.

Nice pose and excellent sharpness. I like the suggestions about moving the bird down and cloning out the one wingtip.

Certainly not the world's most spectacular bird, but stlll interesting to see with such good detail.
I agree with everybody on the suggestion of positioning in the frame and the slightly protruding wing tip.

Excellent flight shot. Great head angle, I really like the wing position and the detail seen.
Well done.
