Nice job Karl - very sharp, wonderful light. I like the wing position and the nice detail under the wing. I might wish for a little more room above. Great capture.

I like the wing pose and the mountains in the BG. The wings appear to have a purple/magenta cast but it could be the way the sunlight was. I like the composition but a bit more room on top would be nice. Good IQ,

I like the steep climbing out pose, slight bank towards us, the mountains 'grounding' the image. I agree about a sliver more room to climb into.

I could see a version with the color temp a bit warmer, which would help with the slight cast mentioned by Gail.

Purely as a compositional exercise, I did a version with the crane flipped horizontally , so that the mass of the bird was better balanced by the mass of the mountains, I rather liked it. I am always tinkering with comp, since it isn't something that comes naturally to me.
