    Wonderful wing up pose on this one, but for some reason it looks a little soft despite the shutter speed. Have you applied much NR to the shot, and have you cloned anything out in front of the beak?

    Very nice pose but yes, it does appear soft in a sort of artificial way. Can you tell us more about the focus and processing? Is the lens sharp on a still subject?

    If it were me I would lighten the dark areas in the BG -- what was your processing software? ACR/LR would do a good job of that, and probably other converters.

    Have tried photographing Humming bird so do understand the difficulties especially on a dark bg, it is a bit soft but a good effort.
