Rough-legged Hawk

I spotted this Rough-legged Monday in flight hunting over an alfalfa field next to Lake Ontario in WNY State (Orleans County). It was a rare sighting for me to catch one within camera range - only the second time ever. I missed the pounce and catch of the Meadow Vole when it was out of view in the tall alfalfa, but was able to get these unusual shots (at least for me) shooting from inside of my Jeep with camera and lens parked on Art's Bean Bag.
