You would think that after some years of looking at sparrows, I would no longer be challenged by them. But I remain challenged. Can someone identify this one? From Forsythe NWR (New Jersey) last week. I initially titled it Savannah, but then had second thoughts about the rufous flank and yellow at base of bill and blurry breast streaking. And then the sharp tail also puzzled me.
