Hi Jon ... as i am not a macro specialist please take my technical comment not too strong .
I think a macro shot should be pin pin sharp .... which is not the case IMHO , not knowing why ???!!
Image can be pushed more in terms of tone and color ... to make things more pop .
The boxy crop does not work well with the long dragonfly and I would remove the white fluff iRHS .

Thanks Andreas, this was an experiment, it was never taken with the intention of stacking, it just turned out to be two images that were in focus one at the head and one at the tail so I combined them. I think sharp but agree could be sharper,, maybe I should try similar shots with the lens without the MC (i.e. converter). I do have a macro lens but I need to get pretty close with that. Recently Olympus introduced a 90mm macro which is delivering very impressive results, maybe I should give it some thought - especially with flash and specialist diffusers.
