Hi folks ... a Newbie for me :bg3: , that I am very happy with in general !!!
The twigs might be not ideal , as is the super monotonic BG .... I would have liked a bit more tonal variation to be honest . The shot was taken at forest edge .... with the forest as backdrop , pretty far away . Very tricky to catch this fast hopping tiny little critter
So things can be improved ...

Canon EOS R 3
EF 500 IS L + 1,4 TC
HH

F 6,3 ; Iso 12.800 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with DT 4.7.0 and PSCC 2024 ; slight crop and removing of two twigs on RHS

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings

Cheers Andreas

Gold crest - wow one of the best I have seen, though I think perhaps a tad oversaturated ??- especially the crest (I appreciate breeding season).
The background I agree not the best but the subject is very well shown.

Andreas, cute little bugger. Reminds me to a degree of our Ruby Crowned Kinglet.

I like the view and the great angle of the subject. The little pop of color is very nice.

For me, the glaring fork on the upper part of the perch is pretty distracting on an otherwise very nicely presented Goldcrest. Do like the rich green bkg though.

Thanks guys for your kind comments , much appreciated .

@ Brian ... well the cross fork might be not ideal , but was there .... I leave it in as I do feel the image is already very sterile , matter of taste . But do understand your point

@ Jon ... well the crest is borderline of saturation , not entirely happy with it :bg3:

Cheers Andreas

The bird itself is super! The raised crest with exposed colour adds a lot. I agree with you about the perch and BG, but we can't often be too picky with these little buggers (which are similar to our kinglets, likely both in size and hyperactivity!)
