Hi folks ... a newbie for me and my collection .
Same location as previous species I have captured and posted .

Canon EOS R 6 II
EF 500 IS L + 2x TC
HH

F 9 ; Iso 6400 ; 1/4000 sec

Processed With DT 4.6.1 and PSCC 2024 ; slight crop and a little bit of gardening in FG

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings

Cheers Andreas

Andreas:

Lovely iridescent plumage, good shooting perspective, well exposed. A bit busy in the foreground, but of course, that is where it hangs out.

Andreas, man is this one handsome! Can't beat the colors coming through on the wings and rump with the light angle.

Do like the view in the habitat but there's the age-old challenge of grasses and weeds behind when the dof is too deep. Sort of a give-and-take.

Definitely love to see more of this species... tfs.

Looks great to me, I really don't get all the reservations over the background - hey that's where it was and the scene looks perfectly natural as opposed to a clinically prepared scene with flawless background. I am becoming more and more keen on images showing subjects typically in situ - i.e. as we usually see them.

THX Arthur , Jon and Brian for your comments .

@ Brian ... i am with you about the grasses , but they have been there
@ Arthur ... yeah would agree about the FG

Cheers Andreas
