    Andreas:

Lovely lighting, soft background, perch is interesting without being over powering.

I could see a crop from the right, just personal taste.

I have wanted a shot like this for years and years, I remember Will posed similar shots of waders in years gone by. The perch pose and background appeals, super detail as usual.

    Hey Andreas,

I like this! They are such cool little birds. The light is nice and the pose is so characteristic. And I like the wooden post as well.

For me, I like plenty of "negative" space in images, so no temptation from me to crop.

    Thanks for sharing, Gerald

Looks good here Andreas. Lovely detail on the bird with a good pose. Nice perch and BG. Yes a wee crop on the RHS, but that's a matter of taste.

I'm sure you'll get your shot someday Jon. I've been lucky and managed a few times getting them perched on a post.

Thanx folks ... glad you like it .
Regarding the crop , well matter off taste .... but in this case I kept it wider to avoid too much of bashing the pixels

    Cheers Andreas
