Hi folks ... had a quite nice morning with the Dippers , coming really close to me . Even nicer when I realized the Dipper found a water snail right in front of me ....
It all happened in " darker shade " ...

    A real dandy here Andreas.

For very low or "darker shade" lighting, you brought the tones out beautifully and created a nice lighting effect vs the bkg.

The snail, wow, yeah that is so nice. Great job color grading.

Only thing I can wish is for more above and less below. Otherwise, an absolute peach. Sounds like an awesome encounter!

That's the one! The contrast bewteen the dark background and foreground with the subject works in my mind better than a brighter one. Boy you have some real detail ther in the plumage, the image is pretty much noiseless in appearance. The snail adds that little extra something.

THX Brian and Jon for your kind comments , much appreciated .

@ Brian ... I hear you about the comp , sadly I have no more room at the top . I was just concentrating to keep the Dipper decently in the frame , as I had an awkward position during the shooting .... remember I was sitting in the river bed with the kit a few cm above the water .

    Cheers Andreas
