A very good evening to you dear Steve,

Great pose from this young lady leopard, lovely composition and those golden leaves add so much to an already beautiful frame. Well exposed with good detail, great techs, nice colours and tones.

There's a dreamy quality to this image one cannot easily replicate... I guess it's all got to do with the light, soft light falling in all the right places...That golden rim around the subject just makes the image for me.

A very charming and memorable frame, won't be surprised if this moment/sighting was one of the highlights of your trip - it certainly made an impression on me, thank you so much for sharing.

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

    Good morning Gabriela,

Great encounter in an old dried up channel, over 45 mins with her before calling it in, but when she gave up the stalk to then call down her cub was, as you said, a memorable encounter and I think you also have seen some video footage? Absolutely in prime condition and I'm not sure just who enjoyed each others company more. Yes it was challenging at times, especially as she went into the woodland areas, but hey its' a Leopard and to see a Leopard(s) each day was amazing, just like your 'Boys'.

    Thanks and all the best.

Impressive shot Steve, the subject shows well against the dappled background, details look good, I like the alert pose as if something has been spotted.

Thank you Jon, and yes as you say, an impressive shot for sure, with the dappled light, but certainly challenging in the dapple light. Achieving the correct exposure wasn’t to much of a problem so much, far easier if the subject is in the open, that’s a doddle, but the light here for me is what makes it different. Also to spend so much time and to see so many Leopards really makes this location.
