Default Red-eyed Vireo Singing In The Maple Leaves.

When the soring flowers are gone, it's time to find nice leafy perches for the songbirds. This branch had a perfect gap between the leaves for a bird to land on, and this Red-eyed Vireo came right in to inspect the audio that was being played to encourage it closer. This is one of the most common forest birds during breeding season here, singing non-stop during daylight hours.

Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, 1/250s., f/8, ISO 3200 (I could have pushed it a stop more for better SS, but it worked out), FF, a few imperfections removed form the leaves via remove tool, some eye work to rid of extra reflections (there were lots!). A bluish cast removed by lowering the blue channel in Hue/saturation.

Beautiful shot. I love how the eye color pops out. The framing of this bird in its habitat, dense foliage, is super hard, but here it is perfect.

Daniel, your style is so identifiable. It's really cool how you handle colors and tones.

Such a happy little fella here and love the eye.

As a minor nit, you could evict that little leaf sliver in the upper right.

Perfect Dan...Really like this. The colours throughout just fit together and the bird stands out nicely. I like the fact that all the leaves on the top appear to be at the same angle as the bird. The greens look lush.
