This is a tribite to my (and many others') friend Dave Phillips. An all around great guy, excellent photographer and an insane whiz with Photoshop. His work has been exceptional and I will terribly miss him. So this is my way of saying a few words to Dave. I know you can read this my friend. I'll see you later on. :)

The image is one of my all-time favorites of a Barn Owl in flight. I added the moon and ran topaz clean over the lot. A little effect to stay true to what will always remind me of that great man, Dave Phillips.

Your eye for detail, for the quirky
For the amazing, for the pretty
Gave us insight into the mind
Of your genius; you really were so kind
<o>
Your presence will really be missed
Your guidance and your fuss
About every little nuance
Of an image, you did great for us
<o>
Losing you is really hard to bear
Your friendship, your kind demeanor
To not see you online, is really tough
The ride we face indeed is rough
<o>
Outside my room there’s a gentle breeze
Our minds and hearts feel immense pain
Someday we will be once more at ease
And feel like normal once again
<o>
One thing’s for sure, you will not
Ever be forgotten, not at all
We’ll keep you alive in our thoughts
In our hearts and in our souls
<o>
Rest in peace our friend.
<o>

Your words express the feelings of all of us who cared for Dave.

He must be very happy in Cootville right now.

Akos, It is beautiful.:) Dave would love it. He was such a great presence on this site and he touched so many people. He will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in all of us that knew him.
