Darien, Panama, May - recommendations or travelers

My wife and I are heading to Panama for a few weeks starting the last day of April. I really want to go to Darien, but need more people to get the price down. The rainy season starts May 1 and it is off season. The good option seems to go by land to the ranger station at Chucanti which involves a 4 hour horse ride with the tour company Advantage Panama, who are very reputable. I can send you complete trip details of this particular tour. I know there are others, and maybe it is best to shop in Panama.
