    Two Good Head Angles

excellent HA x2, love the details on both fish and the osprey. you pulled a lot of detail. really need to come back to FL to shoot ospreys again.... my frames are from a decade ago, amazing when you look back the tech was just crap compared to what we have today... the good old 1D4 could never...

    Swift

Artie called it the best, an impossible shot. love that rainbow and the perfect juxtaposition of the subject right on top of it. technical issues aside the image is very striking, if the IQ was there it would likely be a contest winner (although I'd still try) great frame TFS

    1200mm Calling Crane

love the pose and the colors, BG is nice. I agree a bit more detail in the whites would have been the icing on the cake.

    Great spotted woodpecker

welcome to BPN! you can just type the exif when positing for better critique. this image is quite dynamic and engaging! love the full downstroke position. I wish it was larger to show a bit more details. I can see a bit blue cast on my screen. in a perfect world the perch would have been a bit...

    Dabchick

welcome and a nice find, I like thecae angle, some good critique above. image is a bit over sharpened or "crunchy" as some callout. the BG noise is visible, a few distractions in the BG. overall shooting at a lower angle where possible would improve this image quite a bit. TFS

    Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus)

sharp with good details and exposure, composition noted. I wish the near wing was not as flat, a bank would have been ideal

Wild Turkey Squadron In The Rain.

nice frame Dan, like the hint of rain, good separation between the leading bird and the followers. good colors and processing TFS

    A golden sunset

PS. on my safari browser you need to click on the image to see at full resolution and correct brightness. I like this new interface, when I click on the image it dims the rest of the browser a bit making it easier to view and enjoy!

It's Been Great, But Time Goes On ...

BPN got me into bird photography, and helped me excel in the art beyond just a casual hobby. I started shooting birds in mid 2000's, but it was not until I discovered BPN that I made real measurable progress in bird photography. It was the critique here that taught me about basic concepts like...
