The second repost is a charm. Love the outstretched wing of the male, and more definition in the female's beak. Perfect for b and w, and high key Adhika.

I think the fg strip is important to ground the image. The blues and whites go together so well. The ss is perfect. If it within your ethics I might clone out some of the wings/birds on the edges.

Very magical Anita. That dogwood stands out beautifully. A small crop from the top would work for me.

I think I like this one even better Gary. To me the processing increases the mystical, magical quality of this impressive tree. I love the horizontal lines at the bottom, grounding the image, and the centered position of the tree. Very forceful image conveying the power of this leviathan.

It's funny when I have been away so long, how great the work is looking! The focal point shows the decay very well Dennis. I find my eye going from it to the marker at the end of the pier. Lovely colours and textures with great leading lines.

Thanks for the comments and apologies for taking so long to respond. Adhika I believe you are referring to the tip on the ROT's upper left? Dianne I will play around with the crop a little. Gary, I was intending for the brightest bulb to be the focal point. Appreciate the critiques.

I used a 1/4 s shutter speed, added a vignette blur from NIK in green to soften the outer edges of the frame, and a subtle texture.

Love this Cheryl. Foreboding and hopeful at the same time. Love the simplicity and earth tones.

The zoom blur adds to the majesty and power of the tree. Like the tones you have chosen.

Marvelous colours, comp, and love the highlight on the horse chestnut.
