A very interesting effect, but I would not call it abstract myself:confused:
Great colours, it would have been even better if the background Zebra went to the top of the frame.
Well seen :)

Hi Ken Love the feel of this one Like different and this works Would crop some from the left and I like how the animal is looking to the side !! Sweet !!!

... btw with most of these type you will get many different suggestions since its just a matter of taste !!

Hi Ken

Agree that the BG pattern would look better going all the way up which would strengthen the abstract feel. Would try just to lighten slightly the head to get a bit more detail out of the subject. Might also crop above the start of the nose as the hint doesn't really add much IMHO.

TFS

thanks for the posts guy's, not sure about the lightning though steve:), i geuss all monitors are different!! plenty of detail on my screen which is a Eizo callibrated with eye one display2, for stock agencies

Cheers

Ken, this is one from your website, yes? Like it very much, a nice, strong and interesting view of the zebra. Agree that some extra background stripes would have been nice but for stock this top spacing would work really well … just invites some ad agency to put some type there!! ;)

For me, I really like to see wildlife portrayed in different ways and not just the record stuff so this works for me extremely well. Zebras rock!! :D

Hey Hilary, yes is of the site, glad you liked it, i to like wildlife portrayed in different ways, so when the light & subject are there why not give it a go!! (accasionally):)

cheers

I love what you were going for here, but also feel like it looses something with the BG not going all the way to the top. i would even consider loosing the ear and cropping the top to have the entire BG covered in strips.

Hi Arthur

Thanks for that, this image has been used a few times for Media adds & some have used it straight out of the box so they kept the ear, & some have cropped similar to your version, i like either way, but the forum has been good so far & gives me more of a idea of how to present it to clients in the future.

Cheers

Hey Ken, Selling any image in today's market is a good thing :) We critique here solely on artistic and technical merits, not on commercial merits :) As you know they are three )or two, depending on how you are counting) totally different animals. :)

ps: You membership support is greatly appreciated.
