It's been a while since I've been here.
But in the future I'd like to join the forum again :)
Now I want to show an image of a lucky kingfisher and I really appreciate your thoughts about the image! (Kingfisher was attracted with little fish in a pond)
Took that picture two weeks ago with the Canon R5 and the old EF600mm at f 4.0 1/800 sec and ISO 1600.
Not sure if the image size is ok? It`s width is just 2048

Welcome back Rosl, I happy to see you here again! Terrific image. The background colours are so vibrant, without being too much. The double-catch is fantastic as well! Well-balanced composition. The only negative, at least for me, is the oof front part of the perch which is also clipping the kingfisher's tail. I suppose moving right was impossible. But still, superb image and a great way to get back with BPN :)

Hi Rosi, the last image is the best, the KF is clear of the OOF stump and the body posture is nice. Just watch your SS, no harm in having a much faster SS ie 1/3200 here, because with the catch he could just move his head quite easily, ISO would be what it is and again no problem. With the slight 'sooty' feet I would say a male juvenile. Cool backdrop, just change the perch.

Thank you Steve!

Hi Rosl ...
a stunning image of the lovely KF , love the backdrop !!!
Superb colors , nice tones and lovely fine details rendered .
Personally I would open up the subject a touch in the darker tonal spectrum , without going too far .
3rd and 2nd versions might be better , but I would be happy with the 1st version as well .

Wonder how it comes to coming back to BPN ;) , but good to see somebody else from my country 🤙

Hope to see more of your work in the future

TFS Andreas
