Hi Dan,

Nice shot of a chickadee. I usually can't get them to sit still for 1/1000 of a second. I'm curious about the colorful background, given the time of year. If it were me I would probably would try to brighten up the bird's face and maybe tone down the blue overcast around its head and chest, but I'm still in the process of learning.

I like the composition and the background, I agree with Dave there appears to be quite a lot of blue in the subject (especially obvious in the legs & feet), I would also increase exposure on the subject, I think there is a quite a lot of detail to be revealed in the darker tones.
 
Looks like the background is a giant painted Bunting😁. Agree about a bluish asst, but otherwise a pretty good chickadee image.
