not the prettiest time of year for these guys, but i was testing my lens and got this one.
i hope i thought of everything.

Looks sharp and the head angle is good. It seems a bit dark on my monitor and maybe a little lightening in PS would be good. Glad to see you using the Bigma again.

thanks Dave, i probably should have hit the brightness a bit. there is a story behind the 50-500mm. i'll tell you about it some day.

You sure got enough focal length Mike !!!!! Lookout little birds !!!

Remember to give the compensation. The image is underexposed and will end up with lots of noise when optimizing. The light areas take attention away from the bird.

When composing remember to have more space in front of the bird to the edge of frame than from tip of tail to edge of frame. As presented it sort of centered. You could vary the AF point in camera or lock focus and recompose. Do like the pose and head position Hope you were using a tripod? Image is a little soft. Should be nailing some with your new lens !!! btw would stay away from converters from the time being.

Hi Mike
You are doing much better as far as getting the bird out in the open... I agree with Mr. Forns on the techs. The only thing that catches my eye is that your bird is too centered...

Hi Gus And Alfred.
I Did Use A Tripod. I Tried To Remove All Of The Backlight. I Don't Understand About The Centered Point. Should I Just Move Everything To The Left Until I Get A Larger Frame And Thus Mke The Bird Smaller? You Both Made Reference To That Point. I'm Not Sure Of What You Mean.
