'Broken Tail' - the Pheasant

Taken just after 7.00am whilst on route to the Little owls again, 'Broken tail' was checking out his territory walking through the heavy dew laden grass. Shot lying down, resting on the camera kit bag.

Hi Steve ... lovely shot .
Low POV works well . Stunning colors and the super fine details that you are able to render from your files are great .
Bummer about the broken ... feather , but is as is .
FG should go lighter , IMHO ... picks my attention , but what for ???

This is a very colourful and attractive looking pheasant, very handsome despite the broken tail :S3:

Love the pose and especially those two head feathers, plumage colours and those patterns just superb.

Subject well isolated from the background, nice and sharp where it matters, image quality is great. Well composed too.

This is really nice. The scowl and broken feather make it look like he's recovering after a big night of partying. Color and details are really striking, and the bird really pops on the green. I'd love to see a bit more room above his head, but I suspect that expanding the crop to allow that is going to capture more dirt/earth at lower right. You could lightened the dirt, but that's not critical.

Steve, you've got some beautiful dysfunction over there with bad eyed Little Owl and now Broken Tail.

You captured some nice colors and iridescence. Enjoyed the stare you received here, whilst the subject maintained a broadside view.
