HI folks ... yet another bird on a stick in front of a buttery smooth plain BG , not the hottest stuff on planet earth LOL .
But i do like it .
Image captured at a pop up feeding station in local woodland .... just sitting in my chair hide and hope for birds to appear
This female was talking in the typical Bullfinch ... blah blah during capture :bg3:

Processed with DT 4.8.1 and PSCC 2024 ; cropped for comp and removed two twigs on RHS

Simple but nicely processed Andreas.

Rich blacks and subtle peach/orange. I like the comp and diagonal nature with the perch.

Pops nicely off of the faint green and yellow backdrop.

Very nice indeed, colours look spot on. My only (slight) reservation is the limited DOF - something I am quite frequently guilty of!

@ Jon ... I appreciate that you feel guilty frequently about the short DOF :5 , no worries for me . To my " excuse " ... I can just say not much more was possible other than going extreme high Iso to gain more stops of aperture , I did not as time was short due to the subject was not sitting still very long . So with the long kit , the distance and the birds pose .... not much more was possible

Classic BOAS image. Yes, no longer quite as exciting as a few years ago, but still quite satisfying to create when done well. A great look at this beautiful bird, with a curious inquisitive look. Maybe a bit large in the frame in my opinion.
