Hi folks ... finally a flight shot of the Buzzard , changed the set up with two perches to get him flying or at least " hopping " from one to another .
I do have some incoming images ... but the angle was crap or not ideal , work in progress so to speak .
Buzzard is coming daily ... albeit I am limited due to the times he is coming , I am at work most of the times . So I keep him entertained with the day chicks .
He got used to my presence in the hide and I can even go out and provide new chicks ... if he is somewhere around . He will leave but will return within 30 min , along as he is still hungry . Funny enough , he caught a vole right in front of me .... out of photographic reach . Lost the chick during the action , but returned after a while to take the provided chicks .
The day before yesterday there were two Buzzards around , but only the ONE came down to the perches .
For now I am concentrating on flight shots ....

Canon EOS R 5 II
EF 200 - 400 IS L at 560 mm
Tripod

F 5,6 ; Iso 12.800 ; 1/2500 sec

Processed with ACR and PSCC 2024 ; cropped for comp and added canvas to the LHS as the original capture was too much to the right .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings

Cheers Andreas

It's a peach! Ideal DOF, pin sharp very natural looking colours, eye very clearly seen and a good view of those talons and a dynamic pose. I find the background just fine.
I appreciate your honesty leaving the chick on the perch, I would however "prefer" a similar shot without the chick being visible, could you pin it to the far side of the perch so it would be hidden?
