Hi all .. another image of the Buzzard taking flight to the bait .
This time I have chosen a overall warmer color grading , albeit shots were taken around the same time of the day with almost identical light conditions .
As said above subject is baited with day chicks

Canon EOS R 3
EF 500 IS L II
Tripod

f 5,6 ; iso 12.8000 ; 1/3200 sec

Processed with PR 4 for NR ; Darktable 4.8.1 and PSCC 2024 ; clean up and added canvas in FG . Cropped a bit from rhs and top

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings

Cheers Andreas

I am a little unsure over which version I prefer, probably pane#2. You have nailed the focus and the colours and eye contact look very good indeed. The buzzard looks great, I am not quite so keen on the background, the one in your previous post looks a little better in my opinion. Nevertheless a super shot.

THX Jon for commenting ...
Well I would partly agree with your reservation about the BG ... being different and maybe less ideal due to the more busy appearance .
I changed the set up for the Buzzard to get different flight patterns and various BG ... I offer him now two places where to get the chicks .
One is a pile of soil , the other one is rotten tree root .
As a consequence I can shoot him now head on or from the side ....
This is just a great fun in the moment .
The only issue I have is the fact that I really never have nice light at that spot ... as he does come only when the sun is behind trees .
So loads of High iso shots .

Andreas, I don't see any issue with ISO! The different shootig angles is a great idea, maybe in this particular scenario - "head on" you could raise the height of the bait - perhaps offering a cleaner / more amorphous background???

Andreas, this is a nice frame. It appears almost all of the subject is in focus.

The intent with which it's drawing in is felt.

I could go either way on hue. If you hadn't said anything the og would have been fine.

Personally, I like the backdrop with the angled grasses against darker green. Thankfully the subject falls within the lighter and less convoluted section.

TFS amigo!
