Cinnamon Teal drake from the same morning I shot the Blue-Winged Teal. In fact, these fellas were hanging out together.

LR and PS. Added a sliver of canvas and evicted a few small bright specs on the head.

Brian: Lovely bird, pose, soft BG. Perhaps a bit too contrasty for my personal taste.

Seems like a great spot!

Appreciate it Randy. It is a very nice spot, and particularly unique because it's just a temporary holding pond.

While away from the Avian forum, I tend to get a more contrasty appeal from my western world friends. Should always err on the side of less punchy here :tinysmile_shy_t:

Ohlallala ... Brian , fireworks on steroids :bg3:
This is tough , but I do like the RP better !!!!
Superb Patterns and color /tones ... are they such colorful in real life when the light is right ???!!!
Regardless of any color , love the shot and the perfect wing pose .

Brilliant work ...

Always appreciate your feedback Andreas!

So interestingly, this subspecies is closely related to the Blue-winged Teal I recently posted. They actually share the same wing patterns :) And of course, I beef up the colors a little but they are pretty true to real life here, including the "cinnamon" effect in the body and head plumage.

Super shot Brian - ideal pose, maybe I am just jealous over the colours but they do look intense!! I can't really comment because I haven't seen one of these before.

Appreciate it Jon. The colors on this are quite true to reality IMO. The body really does have that Cinnamon coloration, which is where the species got its name.
