Closing/Locking threads

For those of you who have access to close/lock threads...

By double-clicking the thread icons, (like this http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...con/thread.gif), it will toggle between the thread being closed or open. The icon changes to show a little lock, (like this http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...hread_lock.gif)
