Crowned Hornbill
Took this picture from a car while I was being driven through Ishasha, Uganda in July this year.

He was hopping from tree to tree and this was the best shot of him that I got. Since he was on the move I couldn't re-adjust my position to avoid the grey-white overcast sky in the background.

Nikon Z8 + Nikon 600mm F6.3 PF + Nikkor Z TC 1.4
1/400, F9, ISO 800
Full frame, cropped to 16x9 aspect ratio and downsampled for this post.

How do I make this better ?

Krish I am not being obtuse but better than what? -In terms of composition, colour or sharpness? The other aspect is we often get comments like I wish the head was at a better angle or the tail wasn't obscured. So setting aside the latter issues I would suggest from a personal viewpoint that the colours are just a little too vibrant - see the greens especially under the bird's right leg. Overall exposure looks OK. I see a nut in the bill - this is a good feature, i.e. if you can have your subject exhibiting some form of behaviour.

I would also say the image would be better appreciated if it was larger - say 1920px along the horizontal axis ( I have not found the guidelines in the latest website for px sizes but sizes used to be 1920px max dimension, though portrait posts were often adjusted to 1600px max).

Hope this helps.
