On a slow day you can always count on a Bluebird. Cold and overcast morning with rather flat lighting, so I took a few measures to try to liven up the image.

Looks prettty cool to me Dave nice and sharp, well detailed super colours. I think I would have been tempted to remove the upper diagonal twig, the square crop works well.

Hi Dave ... you really created something very attractive from a not so good starting point , as per your intro .
The file looks very good overall ... whether it is the color and/or the tones and details .
Only two things are bothering me a bit ... the twig in the BG and I am not a fan of the square crop , maybe the crop is even too tight for my personal taste .

But the subject does look stunning ... (y) 🤙

Thanks all for the feedback. I had toyed with removing that twig but decided to keep it thinking that perhaps it helped frame the bird. I might give it a try without just to see how it looks.

Ah man, I wish I had bluebirds to count on! I'm ok with the extra twigs as it enhances the diagonals goin on through the image. For my personal tastes, the subject is too large in the frame - a wider crop may work better here IMO.
