Hi,
I'm wondering which setup would be the better option: the Canon EOS R7 with the EF 500mm f/4 IS II (with or without a 1.4x teleconverter) or the Nikon Z8 with the 800mm f/6.3 PF lens. I currently own the EOS R5, R7, and the 500mm lens, but I’ve been thinking a lot about the Nikon 800mm lens, mainly because of its lighter weight.
However, I don’t want to miss the 500mm lens's f/4 aperture, either. I’m mainly considering these setups for bird photography, especially birds in flight and general bird photography.
I’d love to hear opinions on these two combinations, particularly from people who have used them for similar purposes.
Thanks!
Victor
