Hi Krish,
Always love to see a Hoopoe!
For me, the colour of the bird looks way off. I am used to seeing them as a light dusty pink/tan. This one looks quite rusty. Maybe you could take another look at it.

Thanks for sharing,

Gerald

Hello Krish,

Love the species and we have lots here in South Africa. Not easy to photograph as they are rather skittish, so very well done!

Techs look good, nice framing, do agree with Gerald regarding colour - a bit too much on the yellow/orange side for me.

Bird is sharp with good detail and pose really nice, I wonder if you have any frames where its fan shaped crest is fully raised, often happens when this bird is eating or excited having found a little insect.

Overall a nice image and I enjoyed viewing. If you could have another look at colour and tame the yellow/orange a bit it would be awesome. If your ethics allow you might want to remove the slightly distracting orange blob on the LHS of the frame.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Kind regards,
Gabriela

I quite like the composition and the food item, the image saturation seems too intense to my eye (not just the bird - all).

The low POV helps to minimize the "business" of the BG. I agree with comments above about saturation. I sympathize with that as I have a tendency to do the same with some of my images.

Thanks, Gerald. Will take another look at the colour.

Unfortunately no, I don't have any good poses with the crest spread out. Will take another look at the colour. And the orange blob. Thank you, Gabriela.

I can't really comment on the colour since I've never seen one in person. Other than that technical aspect looks good to me.

Thank you, Ramon !

Okay, will try a less saturated look. Thanks, Jonathan

I think while trying to reduce overall exposure I inadvertently overlooked the effect it had on saturation. Need to pay more attention to that and so many other little cause_and_effect consequences. Thanks, James.
