My four year old grandson has been fascinated with collecting fall leaves, so instead of mounting them I thought it would be fun to create an image that I could print for Mom and Dad.
The photo was taken inside my house on a weathered tree trunk slab placed over black fabric and shot under indirect light. The RF18-150 kit lens that came with my R7 is surprisingly sharp and seems to rival my EF 100mm f/2.8 macro. Doing this again I would probably raise the leaves to better separate the leaves from the surface. I could have gone with some specimens that stood out better, but my grandson was in charge of picking the leaves... I was merely his photographer.
Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
