We've had a cold start to the last few mornings, I was hoping the Fieldfare would perch on one of the molehills so we could see his legs and feet but no luck yet, close but not quite there.

Gorgeous image Jon ... very well captured and processed .
A real peach !!!
LOvely colors and the frosty grass is cool .... here just grey and rainy today .
Maybe tomorrow morning some snow .
It would have been cool to get lower shooting angle

Colours are nice Jon, a slight head turn more to camera would be better. You'll never get that lovely bokeh with the shooting angle.

If you have gone with the low hide (which I doubt) you need an inflatable mattress, 2-3 hours max, it doses become uncomfortable after that, but cool angles.

Mattress - it's already on order Steve - agree duration time limited. The alternative is to make a kind of breakfast tray and sit on the ground placing camera on bean bag.
