Hi all,
I would like to build a floating hide for bird photography. I am thinking about a hide which will have a small electric motor and I won't have to have my legs in the water. (Australian snakes love to swim....)
I would probably use my Canon 600 f4 on it.
Any suggestions/links to some useful information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ofer

I agree with Andrew that you need to think along the lines of what the duck hunters I know use. Look for a small used jon boat and camo it with fabric over a frame. A search for duck hunting supplies should yield lots of options. Bass Pro shops and Cabelas are two U.S. merchants that would sell what you need but I have no idea if they ship internationally.

This is along the lines of what you can do pretty inexpensively sans boat, motor.

A site that caters to duck hunter blinds.

Thanks Ben! I think I will get a small, flat bottom fiberglass boat and build the frame for the camouflag net. A small electric motor should be enough.
Cheers,
Ofer
